A jolly but thoughtful heart;
A curious but open and nimble mind;
An audacious but humble spirit;
A tenacious but warm soul.


Grant me, O Lord,
A few but true friends;
A long but meaningful journey;
A big but well nurtured family;
An imperfect but faithful mate.

Grant us, O Lord,
Steady but humble knees to bend;
Powerful but gentle hands to hold each other;
Courageous but prudent lips to correct or praise;
Soft but dependable shoulders to lean on.
